Today we’d like to introduce you to Stewart Rosburg

Hi Stewart, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I was always really drawn to art and architecture. When I got into high school, I started to learn Photoshop and quickly became the go-to guy for any graphic designs that different clubs or organizations needed for logos or t-shirts. I was absolutely addicted to anything graphic design.

When I started to think about what I wanted to do as a career, I discovered you could put design into motion and I knew it was exactly what I wanted to do. Most animators are drawn to it through character animation in movies or video games, but for me, brand and design has always been a huge part of the draw. I majored in animation with a motion design emphasis in college, and went on to freelance doing 2D and 3D animation in my early years.

After several years of freelancing for different video production studios and agencies, I decided it was time to start my own animation studio. I started the company, Tell, in Chicago. Meanwhile, my wife brought in a steady paycheck as an engineer and project manager. It allowed me to fully immerse into Tell those first few years, until I was able to steadily gain traction and afford for my wife to quit her corporate job and come on board with Tell as Executive Producer. Thankfully her organizational skills and problem solving brought some order and growth in to balance my creative mind and aspirations for our business. We moved to Orlando in 2021 and have been working to connect with more local businesses and creative partners ever since!

Now, we specialize in any 2D/3D/VFX work, and are starting to bring some film and live action production in to our wheelhouse. We’re a small team of 6 and are so passionate about video content creation and what it can do for people’s brands.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I love connecting with people and collaborating to make amazing videos, but the initial cold outreach has always been difficult for me. So, carving out my place in the industry and meeting new people was definitely a challenge. The good thing is, if you care enough about the people you work with, they’ll care for you back and help you expand your network. We’ve relied heavily on word of mouth from people that we’ve worked with in the past, and grown to what we are today because of them.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
We are a video production/post-production studio. We specialize in motion graphics, 2D animation, 3D animation, and VFX. Most people get lost when we say that, but if you look at pretty much any screen for longer than 2 minutes, you’ll see some element of that on the screen. We’ve done it all: logo animations, 3D part renderings, fancy presentations for tradeshows/conferences, social media video content, full-blown network commercials.

We’re a great fit for people or companies that need help in the video space but they don’t just want a single individual who has a narrow skillset. Our team brings in designers, animators, creative directors, and producers that can handle a really broad skill base. At the same time, we’re “boutique” enough to actually care and put a lot of thought and time into creating beautiful content for our clients.

If you don’t even know where to begin but know you need video, we can help you come up with a plan for how to use video content in the most effective way possible. We strategize, write scripts, conceptualize, design, film, animate… we can handle it all!

We love surprises, fun facts and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
We laugh that one of our most successful campaigns was a hemorrhoid cream ad we did… sales went through the roof after that ad aired on TV. Think of all the comfort we brought to many a viewer!

One of our most complex projects was helping animate the stage graphics for a live performance by Nick Jonas and Dan + Shay at the Cowboys Stadium in Dallas. It involved about 20+ different screen dimensions that were hanging from the air, wrapped around the stadium, and even on the stage floor, all timed out to the song they performed.
